Estuary Dreams brings to you a proper fusion evening of poetry, spoken word & experimental film beneath the sunset lit trees of Chalkwell Park Hall at Metal Southend HQ.
Back for the fifth time after four beautiful sell-outs, Words in Chalk returns as part of the Essex Writers House programme but this time with a new dimension added to it, the results of the experimental image workshop Estuary Dreams.
What is Estuary Dreams I hear you say?
It is a fusion of many spectrums of creativity; experiments in poetry, video, sound and performance powered by the Creative Estuary co-commission fund. Born from an imaginative 1 week workshop, these films captured dreams, memories and voices from the estuary reimagined on screen for the Estuary Festival Anthology.
On stage: There will be poets presenting their first ever experiments in video alongside a poem or two, spoken word performances, readings, live acoustic music and even GRIME – it’s a proper odd mashup. It’s going to be experimental, weird and wonderful.
