Re:Generation 2031 ‘Estuary Ventures’ Programme

Creative Estuary in connection with ASPIRE (Accelerator Space for Innovation and Responsible Enterprise) at Kent Business School are running a three-week development programme for Further Education students based in the Thames Estuary region, with the chance to win £3000 to start up a creative business or project.

If you are currently studying (or due to finish at studying) at South Essex or MidKent College, are aged 16-25 and would like to know more about how to make money from your creative talents, this development programme is for you.

You might have a hobby, a side hustle, a growing business or just a fantastic idea which could become the next big thing.

Whatever your starting point, join our programme of practical, fun and interactive workshops to gain all the knowledge you need.

Over three weeks you will learn how to:

  • Turn your creativity into a career
  • Tell others what makes you and your idea unique
  • Price your product or service (and get paid!)
  • Find the money to start your business
  • Stay legal by registering your business and paying tax

You’ll also have the chance to work one to one with a business expert and meet inspiring creative business owners to hear their start-up stories.

After the workshop programme, you will be invited to join a celebration showcase and pitching competition on Wednesday 20th July at The Backstage Centre, where you can present your business idea and be in with a chance of winning £3000 of seed funding to make your idea a reality.

You will also be sign-posted to further business support and advice to continue your journey.
