Creative Estuary is working to forge a future based on creative energy and innovation along the length of the Thames. 

Creative Estuary is an ambitious development programme for a seriously creative place.

You’ll be the sort of person who likes building good relationships that turn into long-term partnerships. Using your project management skills and knowledge of the Creative & Cultural Industries sector, you will help us to bring underused buildings into creative use, whilst strengthening our partnerships and delivering for local people.  You will be generous with your experience and share your skills and insights with our partners who are local authorities, private building owners and investors, and the creative sector. You’ll do this because you believe, like us, that the Creative & Cultural Industries sector needs affordable and sustainable space for production and presentation. The successful candidate will join our small dedicated Creative Estuary team of specialists in Planning, creative production, health & wellbeing for culture, communications and marketing, and placemaking. To succeed in this role you will be/have:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience in project management
  • Able to build effective partnership relationships with stakeholders, build consensus and drive effective decision making in formal and informal settings
  • Experience of budgeting and financial planning/management

Please note this role requires the ability to travel around the Thames Estuary, South Essex and North Kent, to visit venues and sites for development, and to meet with partners and other stakeholders.  The Creative Estuary office is at the University of Kent campus, Chatham Historic Dockyard, Medway and the post holder will be expected to attend the office one day per week, working remotely and travelling the remainder.
