Cultural Project Officer for Thurrock Council

Salary: £35,982 – £41,463 per annum

Fixed Term Contract

37 Hours per Week

Thurrock is located at the heart of the Thames Estuary Production Corridor and has been identified by Arts Council England as a ‘Levelling Up for Culture’ priority place. It is a place where nationally significant cultural organisations and artists coexist with emerging creative practitioners and businesses, and a vibrant amateur sector.

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and passionate individual to join our Economic Development team as Cultural Project Officer. The Economic Development team leads on a broad range of work to support economic development and growth, including Arts and Heritage Service Delivery.

This role will support our ambition to work in collaboration with the Creative and Cultural sector and communities across Thurrock to help shape our cultural offer together and ensure our actions are co-designed and co-delivered.

You will support the development of our emerging plan for culture and will play a key role in delivering actions that generate inclusive cultural activity, foster connections and collaboration that will enable dynamic cultural sector growth.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering a range of key arts, cultural, heritage and creative projects to achieve cultural outputs for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and will commission activity that aligns with Thurrock’s £1m START: Thurrock Creative People and Places programme.
