Thurrock Creative Community Small Capital Grant

Thurrock Council and Creative Estuary are working in partnership as part of the Creative Estuary Place Partnership with investment from Arts Council England.

The Thurrock Creative Infrastructure programme responds to our combined local knowledge of the current conditions and context for arts development and the Creative and Cultural Industries’ sector artists, creatives, and creative organisations.

We are working together to increase the creative and cultural infrastructure of Thurrock by inspiring and supporting Thurrock based creative and community organisations, who deliver activities in Thurrock for local people. This includes a Creative Community Small Capital grant.

This grant programme will allow eligible organisations and groups to invest in their activities and businesses through the purchasing of much needed materials, items and equipment and or providing the ability to update buildings, spaces, venues where activity takes place.

What’s on offer?

Grant funding for creative organisations, groups and activities is part of our Estuary-wide movement to support the Creative and Cultural Industries.

We will support creative and cultural organisations, charities or unincorporated community groups who have a track record of delivering creative activity in Thurrock. If you are applying as a group, one person should represent the group on your behalf.

Applicants should be delivering creative programmes and activity to members of the public in Thurrock. This can be any members of the public, as well as specific groups or communities.

We will provide 4 grants of up to £2000 to support improving your creative offer, through the purchasing of items or improving your spaces. Types of activity this fund will support:

  • Improving your space, venue, building. For example; redecorating, updating utilities, buying new furniture, making your space more accessible.
