Creative Estuary generates £5.1m in social value

Creative Estuary is delighted to share the evaluation of phase 2, which examines the social value created through its work between 2023 and 2026.

A social value return on investment measures the wider value created by Creative Estuary’s work beyond financial results. It assesses the positive impact our services have on people and communities.

Independently carried out by RealWorth, the report evaluates how Creative Estuary has supported creatives, organisations and communities to connect, grow and thrive across the Thames Estuary from 2023- 2026.

Take a look at the headlines:

  • £5.1 million in social value generated in total
  • 19,468 people attended live cultural experiences in 2025
  • 100% of Creative Practitioners surveyed felt they strengthened their connection to the local area
  • £3.2m of social value generated by Creative Skills Development
  • New opportunities created for young people, freelancers, grassroots organisations and communities across the Estuary

These numbers reflect the confidence gained, relationships strengthened and growing sense of belonging amongst the creatives, organisations and communities who have helped shape Creative Estuary’s phase 2 journey.

They highlight the power of investing in people, partnerships and long-term creative ecosystems.
