Building Garden Communities Conference

Thursday, 25 March 2021
9:00 – 13:00 GMT
Online event

Emma Wilcox, Creative Estuary Project Director, is speaking in the ‘Economic drivers and the workplace’ session.

As the UK recovers from COVID-19 there has been a shift in how people view their homes, workplaces and the spaces around them.

Garden communities will play a big role in creating the housing still greatly needed but also now have the opportunity to create the communities suitable for the ‘new world’ we find ourselves in.

At the Building Garden Communities Conference we will be discussing what those garden communities should look like, the lessons learnt from previous garden cities and how we can ensure new communities are built for the future generations in a sustainable way, focusing on health and wellbeing.

Chaired by leading journalists the conference will invite experts from across the industry to discuss how transport, infrastructure, placemaking, workplace and sustainability will impact both the new garden communities still in planning but also those which already have a spade in the ground.
